It is generally used as the main load-bearing structural material.

2A16 aluminum coil strip is a kind of heat-resistant duralumin, which is characterized by not too high strength at room temperature, but higher creep strength at high temperature. The alloy has higher plasticity in hot state without extrusion. The effect can be strengthened by heat treatment, and the welding performance of spot welding, seam welding and argon arc welding is good, the tendency to form cracks is not significant, and the air tightness of the weld is good. The corrosion stability of the weld is low, the corrosion stability of the aluminum-clad sheet is good, and the corrosion resistance of the extruded semi-finished product is not high. In order to prevent corrosion, anodizing treatment or painting should be used to protect the cutting performance.
